Abstract Two new chalcones, β,2',4',5'-tetramethoxychalcone 1, and β,2',5'-trimethoxyfurano [4",5":3',4']-chalcone 2 were obtained from an ethyl acetate-soluble fraction of ethanol extract of the stem of Fordia cauliflora. Their chemical structures were determined by analysis of spectroscopic evidences.
