Abstract Quinazoline derivatives were synthesized from α-iminoesters via a cascade imino-Diels-Alder and then oxidation reaction catalyzed with CuBr2. This method provided a new strategy for preparing quinazoline derivatives which may be useful in the synthesis of heterocyclic intermediates.
